The Rise Trust - 'Community projects at the very heart of our Community'

Within the Chippenham area there are many people who, because of their situation whether; financial, personal, physical, or otherwise, need various forms of help and support. This help, enables everyone to lead a more fulfilling life both within their family unit and their local community. 

RISE grew out of St Paul's Church, with a genuine desire to provide  community support, and since 2004 has been undertaking the provision of services to meet local needs. As a Christian faith-based charity our aim is to foster a community, where people work together to overcome social division and disadvantage. We aim to respond to the identified needs of our local community and to provide support which enables us to live out our faith.

Since its launch in 2001, Faithworks (a UK Christian organisation committed to excellence in community work) has sought to empower and inspire Christian projects operating at the heart of local communities. To date, thousands of individuals and hundreds of groups have joined Faithworks in creating a movement that is delivering real grassroot changes in communities throughout the UK.

Increasingly, Faithworks groups,  motivated by their faith and inspired by the message of Faithworks, are joining together to help improve  their local communities in ways never dreamed of before.

RISE is achieving far more by working with Faithworks than it can alone, especially when seeking to liaise with  local authorities and other specialist service providers.
