Sunrise Pre-School

Sunrise Pre-School is constantly looking for volunteers to help within the setting. We can provide training with volunteers recently qualifying in Level 2 childcare. If you feel you would like to begin a career in childcare or merely wish to volunteer a few hours of your time please contact Debbie Lambert on 01249-463040.

Family support service.

Volunteers needed for an exciting and rewarding family support service.

Could you use your parenting/childcare skills and experience to support a local family in need? Would you like to volunteer for a rewarding and worthwhile service? Could you spare as little as 1-2 hours per week? Yes? Then King’s Rise Children’s Centre’s Family Visiting Service needs you!

The Family Visiting Service (FVS) is run from the King’s Rise Children’s Centre in Chippenham. It is a free service for families in Chippenham, Corsham and the surrounding villages to use. The service can be accessed by anyone with a young family regardless of status or family situation.

The aim of the FVS is to support families in need of additional advice, support and guidance and to encourage them to develop the confidence, skills and abilities to empower them to take control of their own lives.

Volunteers receive regular training and support and visit families in their own home to offer weekly support. Volunteers are invaluable to us and make up a very important part of the services we provide. Volunteers stay in control of their time and availability – you tell us the amount of time you can spare and we place you with the most suitable family. Daytime, evening and weekend volunteers welcome!

Volunteering provides you with a great opportunity to boost your self esteem, try out new activities which can increase your job prospects and provides opportunities to socialise with other staff and volunteers at the centre. Ultimately it feels great to know that you are helping a family that we may have to turn away if it weren’t for the kind hearted, dedicated volunteers supporting our service.

The RISE Trust carries out a CRB enhanced disclosure on all staff and volunteers and all expenses incurred by volunteers are paid in full.
