The RISE Trust Community Hub Therapeutic Mentoring
The RISE Therapeutic Mentoring services offer 1-1 sessions working with young people to support their recovery from experience of feeling terror, powerlessness and overwhelm which impacts their capacity to cope. Our service uses a specialised Trauma Recovery Focus Model (TRFM) as a culture and method of working. We meet the young person at their starting point, offering Therapeutic mentoring Services on school sites, at the Daisy Suite based in Chippenham, or as 3 hour sessions within the Alternative Provision Framework, also based at The Daisy Suite Chippenham.
Therapeutic Mentoring within the School Site.
We offer sessions in primary and secondary school to work alongside young people within 1-1 sessions. Before sessions start an assessment is carried out, to gain as much information as possible, to help create a support plan. When necessary, we will consult with The Child Psychologist / Therapist from the Trauma Recovery Centre (there is an additional fee for this part of the service). Acting as an additional layer of support where they too will complete assessments and write a plan that is then shared with the Therapeutic Mentor to carry forwards in the sessions. This Plan can travel together with the young person and the Therapeutic Mentor and does not stop when moving onto local settings/education. We also offer this level of support to those who have used the Daisy Suite as a transition back to mainstream school where their trusted adult can accompany them to re-integrate. Each 1-hour session costs from £60.00
