Who is the RISE Trust?

The RISE Trust started as an initiative from a local church in Chippenham in 2004. It supported work in the community in 3 areas: Under 5s, Youth and Seniors. In 2006 the RISE Trust became a charitable trust and in 2008 the Children’s Centre at the Oaks opened, managed by the RISE Trust. King’s Rise Children’s Centre opened in 2009 and in 2011 Spring Rise opened.

The RISE Trust today

The RISE Trust is a significant force within family and children’s charity work in North Wiltshire. We manage two Children’s Centres across Chippenham along with Calne and Royal Wootton Bassett centres. We also provide Children’s Centre services for the Corsham, Cricklade, Purton and Malmesbury areas.

The Children’s Centres provide services for families with at least one child under the age of five. We offer non-judgemental, impartial, friendly advice and we are always there for you!  We run sessions for children and their carers daily throughout the week.  The RISE Trust provides courses such as Post and Ante-Natal, Parenting, Back to Work and work in partnership with other agencies to provide access to other courses that would benefit your family.  The Health Visitors run drop-ins and the midwives hold antenatal clinics at some of our Centres.

In addition to our under 5 support we facilitate a family visiting service, run a Contact Centre in Chippenham, provide Youth Groups/support, a mentoring service to the Chippenham primary schools and have a Parent Support Advisor that goes into local primary schools.  Our pre-school @ The Oaks, provides high quality pre-school childcare and currently have an Ofsted raiting of Good.

The aim of the Sure Start Children’s Centres is a ‘one-stop shop’ for a family.  We operate in close partnership with other agencies such as Health, Social Services and local schools.
