Who is the RISE Trust?
The RISE Trust started as an initiative from a local church in Chippenham in 2004. In 2006 the RISE Trust became a charitable trust and continues today to serve our local community in Chippenham and young people across North Wiltshire.
Our not-for-profit charity aims to support children/young people in our community to be confident and empowered to make positive life choices, successfully participating in society as happy, independent, and responsible individuals. Therefore, we support them to make progress through developing and enhancing their skills, capacities and capabilities.

The RISE Trust today
Our CEO, Lynn Evans, says “I believe that The RISE Trust is a significant force within family and children’s charity work in North Wiltshire. We are based at our Community Hub in The Oaks, Chippenham and are next door to St Paul’s Primary School. I am so proud of all the work we do supporting children and young people and I am blessed to have an amazing team who are all passionate to make a difference.”
Working with young people is a large part of our commitment to our community. We offer free safe spaces, youth clubs and detached outreach to young people aged 8 – 19 years in Calne, Chippenham, Corsham, Malmesbury, Purton, and Cricklade. Our youth workers go to the places young people frequent especially those who are reluctant to come to indoor sessions. We believe that our young people need to feel safe, listened to and have their voices heard. Our work aims to provide early help so we can try to help young people with difficult life choices, relationships, substance usage and behaviour. We do pop-ups in local schools so young people can come for independent advice during their lunchbreaks. Our youth team can also provide one-to-one mentoring.
In addition, we have our pre-school @ The Oaks, providing high quality pre-school childcare and currently have an Ofsted rating of Good. We also run a Contact Centre in Chippenham, a mentoring service to the Chippenham primary schools and have a Parent Support Advisor that goes into local primary schools.
The RISE Trust staff offer non-judgemental, impartial, friendly advice and we are always there for you! We are building up sessions for children and their carers throughout the week. The RISE Trust provides courses such as Baby Massage, and ‘Ready, Steady, School’ (for parents who have children starting school in September). We also work in partnership with other agencies to provide access to other courses that would benefit your family.
The aim of The RISE Trust is to that “Through unconditional love commitment and passion, we seek to enable all children, young people and adults to be the best that they can be”.
