24-25 The RISE Trust Accounts

Current Trustees

Mark Lavender

Mark joined The RISE Trust in Jan 2026. An army veteran with 24 years’ service. Since 2015, Mark has worked in the commercial design and manufacturing sector. Notably Mark worked with local Government trialling a pilot scheme alternative to work experience placements for 16-18 year olds and was singled out in the Government report as a best practice example, with the pilot now rolling out nationally.

Mark said “Throughout my time in the military and commercial sector I’ve been fortunate to have some great mentors and coaches and therefore the work The RISE Trust does resonates a lot”.

Mark is married, has three children and loves exploring the surrounding countryside of Wiltshire.

Eve Cale

Eve Cale has been a Trustee with RISE since 2021 and has had the role of secretary since 2023. Her awareness of RISE began as a parent when she accessed the Children’s Centres facilities. Now her children are older, volunteering for RISE as a Trustee has given her the opportunity to give back and support the local community.

Simon Dunn

Si has been connected to RISE since arriving in Chippenham in 2011 and became a trustee soon after. He says, “As a priest I experience every day the joys and heartaches of real people and real life and witness not just the needs in our community every day but also the difference we can make when we work together “. I have the privilege in seeing how Christian faith inspired groups (RISE being one) play a part in making a real difference in the welfare of young people and families of Chippenham and beyond. I remain delighted to offer myself as a Trustee overseeing the important and ‘difference making’ work of The RISE Trust.

Kali Godwin

I have worked in community charity organisations since the age of 17, providing play work, nurture work, education for children with SEND, and family support. When I moved to Wiltshire, I discovered The RISE Trust and was immediately drawn to its values and the vital role it plays in the community. Its mission strongly aligns with both my faith and my personal values. Having experienced the importance of support during my own journey as a single mum, I deeply appreciate that the RISE Journey is there for those who need it. I am proud to be part of such a fantastic organisation and to contribute to its ongoing impact.

Mo Davis

I’m Mo and I’ve lived in Chippenham for over 40 years. During that time, I’ve served as a nurse and midwife for the local community, something I’m very proud of. Far and above that, my biggest achievements have been my 2 lovely children, now in their 30s. I’m also a Grammy to a 2 year old little girl who is happy and feisty…a good combination, I think!

My career took me into specialist nursing, infection control and risk management. I retired just before the pandemic but returned with that skill to give.

I am happily retired again, I enjoy gardening and cycling and have been volunteering with The RISE Trust for many years, pulling on my knowledge to help with the breastfeeding support group which started with them but has now moved to the ABM.

Hedgehogs have also been a passion of mine, getting involved with rescue, treatment and recovery of our spiky (but smelly!) friends and overwintering babies that would otherwise not survive the cold.

I’m now a Trustee with The RISE, hoping my previous knowledge can prove useful. I’m proud to be part of such a lovely, dedicated, family oriented and spiritually uplifting charity, with hopes for a long and productive future.

Anita Seaton, MBE

I have worked in leadership in the public sector since 2001, most recently in incident and crisis management. I am passionate about helping people develop and achieve their full potential, whether this is within work or with the charities in which I volunteer. I have volunteered with a charity in Bristol for over 10 years, supporting vulnerable women who are experiencing multiple disadvantages and trauma and those building new lives away from poverty, violence and addiction, however I also wanted to do something closer to home. The RISE Trust has supported my own extended family in the past, so I am grateful to have the opportunity to give something back in my role as Trustee.
